AIZAWL: A Mizoram resident, who reported sick after returning from outside the state, and was quarantined at the Zoram Medical College Hospital near Aizawl tested negative for

novel coronavirus

, a senior state health department official said on Saturday.

State nodal officer of the Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP) Dr Pachuau Lalmalsawma told TOI that the girl's samples were sent to National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases (NICED) Laboratory in Kolkata, where it was found to be negative.
