Need to boost textile & tourism sectors: Meghalaya CM

chief minister Conrad Sangma, who along with Union minister of textiles Smriti Irani laid the foundation stone for the Integrated Textiles Tourism Complex in Ri-bhoi district on Monday, has stressed on the need to develop the textiles and tourism sectors in the state.


"The complex will offer an opportunity for tourists seeking unique experiences through leisure activities around handloom and textile production. This innovative project will go a long way in ensuring that both the textile and the tourism sectors develop."
