‘Anti-Hindu’ Congress concocted saffron terror theory: Anurag
HAMIRPUR: BJP MP contesting to retain his Hamirpur seat, Anurag Thakur, on Friday attacked the Congress calling it anti-Hindu. “The Congress concocted a false

Confident of his party’s victory on all the four parliamentary seats in Himachal, Anurag, while speaking to media, claimed that people would give in a befitting reply to the Congress as its leaders, particularly its president Rahul Gandhi, have been telling a bundle of lies to the nation.
“Congress president Rahul Gandhi has been telling lies one after another. He is going to set a new record of telling lies. After Lok Sabha elections, he is going to apologize to the nation,” claimed Anurag.
Earlier, BJP held a road show in which Dhumal and the CM joined the MP him in an open jeep for about 2km from the busy market to the Sabji Mandi Chowk, the venue of rally.
Responding to the claims of the Congress about lack of development in his constituency, Anurag said foundation stone for AIIMS at Bilaspur, the PGI satellite centre at Una, mother and child health centres in Una, Hamirpur and Bilaspur, a trauma centre, Hamirpur medical college, hydro power engineering college at Bilaspur, IIT, national highways and railways lines, including including Bhanupali-Bilaspur, Una-Hamirpur, Nangal-Una-Talwara, were amongst the many achievements. They were there for everyone to see, he added.
Chief minister Thakur added that the massive support during the road show looked like a victory procession. He also took a dig at the leader of opposition Mukesh Agnihotri for “spreading lies” that he had remained confined to one particular constituency, Mandi. “This is my 36th public meeting since elections were declared,” he said.
BJP veteran and former chief minister Shanta Kumar and Satti also addressed the gathering while claiming that there would be a massive mandate in favour of Anurag and the BJP government.
Satti stay clear of controversy
After state BJP president Satpal Satti’s speech, who asked party workers and local office-bearers to work at the booth level and made an appeal to vote for BJP, there were murmurs in the rally. “He said nothing controversial this time,” some people were heard saying. Satti has been issued third notice from the Election Commission for controversial remarks during his public addresses.
