BJP flays Cong govt, lists shortcomings

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh BJP president Rajiv Bindal on Tuesday said the Congress govt was about to complete two years in power and in these two years, its achievements were closing down 1,500 institutions.Bindal accused the Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu-led Congress govt of creating a record of closing down schools, colleges, primary health centers, veterinary hospitals, patwar circles and many other offices.The BJP leader said the current Congress govt had also achieved the record of taking a loan of Rs 26,000 crore in 22 months.The CM and his followers are going from place to place and announcing that they have fulfilled five guarantees; these are increasing stamp duty by 500%; imposing value added tax of Rs 7 per litre on diesel; increasing fares of the HRTC buses; going back on the guarantee of giving 300 units of free electricity and increasing the electricity bill of every person; issuing of drinking water bills in the rural areas and increasing the water rates up to 500% in the urban areas, said Bindal.
