Sports min says no ‘sportsperson tax’

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh youth services and sports minister Yadvinder Goma on Tuesday said leader of opposition Jairam Thakur is misleading people about the “sportsperson tax” scheme in the state.The cabinet minister categorically refuted allegations that the state government has been collecting taxes from players or sports associations at the athletic tracks in Dharamshala and Bilaspur. Goma said these claims are entirely unfounded and deceptive and only politically motivated to malign the image of the state government.
