Cancer hosp signs MoU with ESIC

Shimla: The Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (HBCH&RC), Punjab, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Employees State Insurance Corporation(ESIC), Himachal Pradesh to provide cashless medical treatment for ESIC card holders and their families at HBCH&RC's facility in New Chandigarh, Mohali. The MoU was signed by Dr Ashish Gulia, director of HBCH&RC, and Sanjeev Kumar, deputy director of ESIC Himachal Pradesh, on Saturday. “This partnership with ESIC Himachal Pradesh is a monumental step in making Cancer care both accessible and affordable. We are thrilled to offer cashless treatment to ESIC beneficiaries from HP, ensuring that they receive the highest quality of cancer care without the financial burden,” said Dr Gulia. tnn

Hike ESIC salary threshhold: Suvarna

Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna urged the Union government to increase the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) salary ceiling from 21,000 to 30,000. During a meeting with Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje, Suvarna emphasized that the limit has remained unchanged for eight years, impacting private sector workers.
