SHIMLA: The Shimla Met Office has issued an orange alert for hailstorms, thunderstorms, and gusty winds at isolated places across Himachal Pradesh for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Officials said the Met Office has also forecast a wet spell in the state till May 3.
An orange alert for hailstorms, thunderstorms with lightning, and gusty winds (40–50 kmph) at isolated places has been issued for Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, and Shimla on Tuesday, and for Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, and Shimla on Wednesday.
Dry weather prevailed across the state over the past 24 hours since Sunday evening, while a heat wave was recorded in Una and Bhuntar, which reported high temperatures.
Kukumseri was the coldest at night, recording a low of 6.4°C, while Una was the hottest during the day with a high of 42°C.
