Omar Abdullah meets PM Modi, raises J&K statehood restoration
SRINAGAR: J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah Thursday met PM Narendra Modi in New Delhi and discussed restoration of statehood, among other issues.
Omar also congratulated PM Modi for completing 12 uninterrupted years in office.
On Wednesday, the CM met rail minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi and requested for augmentation of train services in Kashmir Valley, particularly during the scheduled closure of Srinagar airport for 16 days in Oct for runway maintenance and other repairs.
