They nabbed Bhanu Modi and her husband Manharlal and also found that the couple was issuing less foodgrains and other products to the beneficiaries. The trap was laid at Pandit Deen Dayal Grahak Bhandar in Syalda. The fair price shop license is in the name of Manharlal while his wife was present at the shop at time of trap.

“It came to knowledge of ACB officials that the shop owner was not issuing food grains as per eligibility of the BPL beneficiaries. Further, he was charging higher amount for the same food grain from those eligible to receive it at concessional rates,” said B K Vanar, police inspector, ACB.
