Trader alleges ₹7.16L fraud in China import deal
Says Import Agent Who Advertised On Instagram Failed To Deliver Goods, Refund Money
Surat: A 28-year-old trader filed a cheating complaint with Puna police after allegedly being cheated of Rs 7.16 lakh in a failed import deal for houseware goods from China.
Deep Pandya, who runs a houseware business in the Bhagal area, said he travelled to China with friends in April 2025, where he selected dustbin products for sale in Surat.
After returning, Pandya began searching for an import agent and came across an Instagram advertisement for Radhe Impex. On contacting the company, the accused, Kunal Bhojak, allegedly assured him that the goods would be imported and delivered in 30 days.
Bhojak allegedly told Pandya to transfer the payment to him, saying it would be routed to the Chinese supplier through his firm. Pandya then transferred Rs 8.86 lakh towards the import order.
However, the shipment did not arrive within the promised period and Bhojak allegedly repeatedly made excuses. When Pandya protested in Aug, Bhojak returned Rs 1.70 lakh and again promised delivery.
As the remaining Rs 7.16 lakh was neither refunded nor were the goods delivered, Pandya approached Puna police.
