84 Covid-19 positive cases and 4 deaths reported within 24 hours in Thane

THANE: As many as 84 Covid-19

positive cases

and four deaths were reported within 24 hours on Tuesday.

Earlier this week a nurse from the state-run

Thane Civil hospital

was tested Covid-19 positive.

“The nurse who was tested positive probably got an infection from outside source as someone in her husband’s workplace had got the infection, her husband’s reports are awaited. Also when she was working she wore adequate gears in the hospital and worked in general ward, not with

so it’s unlikely she got virus from here. However, we have tested around eight sisters who were her high risk contacts out of which tests of three are negative,” said Dr.

The tally of Covid-19 positive cases is 1353 and death toll is 54 patients. Meanwhile the recovery rate is 33 per cent as so far 414 patients have been discharged.
