THANE: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reminisced about his humble beginnings within the party, highlighting the principle of equality and his early inspiration drawn from leaders like Balasaheb Thackeray and Anand Dighe.

Shinde was speaking at a recent event organized by Yuva Sena. Recounting his early days as a Shakha Pramukh at the age of 19, Shinde highlighted his active involvement in rallies and agitations, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to uphold the Sena's ideology. “used to sit on the ground at Shivaji Park listening to speeches of Balsaheb Thackeray at Shivaji Park,” Shinde said.

Addressing the crowd, CM Shinde shared his commitment to the party's principles, citing a recent key moment where he claims to have saved the Sena and its core ideology.

Reflecting on his leadership role, he credited the grassroots efforts of Yuva Sainiks, likening their dedication to a college of learning and subtly contrasting it with other approaches.

Our target is to create more jobs and other work and the Yuva sena should do it, including issues pertaining to college and school.

Amidst the reflections, a surprising revelation surfaced as MP Shrikant Shinde, the Chief Minister's son, disclosed his lack of awareness regarding his father's decision to revolt within the Shiv Sena and travel to Surat before assuming the position of Chief Minister.

Despite the unexpected turn of events, MP Shrikant Shinde echoed his father's emphasis on meritocracy within the party, asserting that those who work diligently will be recognized and rewarded.

The event, aimed at motivating and engaging with youth team members across Maharashtra, also celebrated the contributions of individuals excelling in their respective fields.

Renowned artist Shashikant Dhotre and cricketer Ajinkya Rahane were honoured with the prestigious 'Shiv Gaurav Puraskar' for their outstanding achievements.
