BJP worker alleges attack by youths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 23-year-old BJP worker, Arun Das, hailing from

Kollam

alleged that he was assaulted by a group of youths near

University College

on Saturday for wearing a rakhi. Cantonment police have registered a case in this regard and launched a probe.

During the scuffle, Arun suffered injuries on his right arm. He sought treatment at a hospital nearby and turned up before the Cantonment police in the evening to file a complaint. In his complaint, he has stated that the four assailants could be identified on sight.
