Govt’s 4th anniv: Trade fair in May
T'puram: As part of state govt's fourth anniversary celebrations, the Ente Keralam exhibition-cum-trade fair will be held at Kanakakunnu Palace from May 17 to 23. The event will showcase govt's development and welfare initiatives, with various departments offering their services to the public. A meeting led by general education and labour minister V Sivankutty finalized the organizing committee for the anniversary celebrations on Sunday.Sub-committees were also formed to ensure smooth execution of events at the district level. Minister Sivankutty stated that Kerala is entering a new phase of development, with significant progress in technological advancements, infrastructure and welfare initiatives. Major projects like Vizhinjam port, Kochi Water Metro, Hill Highway, Coastal Highway and NH expansion are among state's notable achievements. He also highlighted Kerala's unparalleled progress in the health and education sectors.Food and civil supplies minister GR Anil, who chaired the meeting, said govt successfully implemented model initiatives that people envisioned. As part of the anniversary celebrations, sectoral review meetings and district-level evaluation meetings involving experts from various fields will be organized. Minister Sivankutty will serve as chairman of district's organizing committee, with minister Anil as co-chairman. The fair will feature stalls presenting govt services and schemes related to education, employment, culture, health, welfare programs for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, arts, business-to-business meets, Akshaya and Kiifb.
