Harivarasanam award to Veeramani

Thiruvananthapuram: Tamil playback singer P K Veeramani Dasan has been chosen for this year’s Harivarasanam award, instituted by state government. The award carrying Rs 1 lakh and a citation will be presented to Veeramani by devaswom minister K Radhakrishnan at the Sabarimala Sannidhanam auditorium at 8am on January 15.Veeramani has sung around 6,000 Ayyappa devotional songs. This year’s award was judged by devaswom special secretary M G Rajamanickam, devaswom commissioner C N Raman and Palkulangara K Ambika Devi. State government instituted the Harivarasanam award in 2012.
