Mother, friend booked for abducting boy

Thiruvananthapuram: Nemom police on Tuesday registered a case against a mother and her friend for allegedly abducting and torturing a two-year-old boy physically and mentally.The case was registered on the basis of a complaint given by the child’s father.Rani MS, 24, of Aroor Melathil Veedu, Kottarakkara, and Ramesh, 30, of Amose Bhavan, Elappara, Idukki were booked for abducting and detaining the child. The boy was also allegedly tortured by the accused, police said.The father of the boy, Vishnu, 29, of Nemom, filed a complaint that his wife abducted the boy with the help of Ramesh and detained him at a flat at Thrikkannapuram for a month. The boy was also tortured by the accused. The complainant was not on good terms with his wife and the abduction took place when he was away from his house.
