Prez’s medals for 10 police officers

Thiruvananthapuram: Ten police officers from the state have been selected for the President’s police medals on the eve of the Independence Day. The list includes one officer –– R Mahesh, SP (administration) in special branch –– selected for the medal for distinguished service.The remaining officers –– Sony Oommen Koshy (additional SP, Kollam city), Baiju Poulose M (DSP, anti-terrorist squad), C R Santhosh (ACP, Kunnamkulam), Ajeesh G R (inspector, VACB, Thiruvananthapuram), Rajagopal N S (inspector, AP battalion headquarters), Sreekumar S (sub-inspector, special branch, Thiruvananthapuram city), Sathian P K (SI, cyber cell, Kozhikode rural), Jayasankar R (SI, Museum police) and Ganesh Kumar N (inspector, police training college) –– have been selected under the meritorious service category.
