Dhinakaran and actor Senthil for making derogatory remarks against Kumar in Chennai recently.

Police sources said that Senthil was named the main accused in the case while Dhinakaran was included as accused number two. Kumar had lodged a complaint with the city police alleging that Senthil made derogatory comments against him at the behest of Dhinakaran at an interaction with mediapersons in Chennai. It may be recalled that Kumar was one of the supporters of chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and he was removed from the party by Dhinakaran.

The police took up his complaint and registered a case against Senthil and Dhinakaran on September 1. However, the information about the registration of the case was kept confidential for reasons best known to the police. A few days ago, the matter made its rounds on the social media. Sources said that the case was registered under sections 294 (b), 506(i), 109 and 153 of IPC in CCB.
