Internet service was restored after two days, on Monday morning, no incidents or casualties were reported from any party of the city. Ahead of Janmashtami celebrations, security was beefed up and guards were seen at KalikaMata,

Khaatwada

, Prithviganj, Indira colony, Rajtalab Chowk, Custom Chauraha etc.

“Section 144 has been withdrawn however, the prohibitory orders are effective for social media, people cannot post any objectionable comments related to the incident. Peace has been restored but additional forces are deployed in sensitive areas, our teams are working hard to nab the assailants who will be arrested soon,” Kaluram Rawat, SP Banswara said.

After constant mediation talks and assurances by the authorities, the family members claimed the bodies and held the burial rites on Sunday night. The community had staged a mass protest and demanded action against police for ineffectiveness in dealing with both the parties who were at loggerheads over a property for 10 years.

An assistant sub-inspector Gajendra Singh was suspended for negligence in duty. The victims’ family members had alleged that Shabbir Mohammed and his two sons were attacked on Friday night too but instead of taking the matter seriously, the ASI let the culprits go which resulted in the savage triple murder the next morning. The administration also assured the community to extend all support to the aggrieved family and compensation would be awarded as per government provisions.
