Sarpanch aarrested for taking ₹25k bribe

Udaipur: The special unit of the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Udaipur arrested Umrada sarpanch for taking a bribe of Rs 25,000 on Thursday evening. Additional SP Umesh Ojha of ACB district special unit said that accused Hiralal had demanded the bribe in lieu of providing the NOC related to a land to the complainant. The sarpanch demanded Rs 1 lakh as bribe from the complainant for issuing the NOC and he was constantly being harassed. After negotiation the accused had agreed on an amount of Rs 25,000. The ACB team after verification caught the accused red handed outside the panchayat samiti office in Girwa tehsil under Savina police station of Udaipur district
