Vaishnaw takes stock of work at Udaipur railway station

Udaipur: Ashwini Vaishnaw, the minister of railways, communications, electronics and information technology, on Monday inspected the redevelopment work at Udaipur city railway station and expressed happiness over the station’s design and the pace of work.
The redevelopment work is being carried out under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Vaishnaw, who was on a one-day visit to the City of Lakes, reviewed the progress of the work and gave necessary guidelines to the officials concerned. He also interacted with the passengers at the station and gathered information about the railway facilities.
Vaishnaw said that the work to make railway stations world class is on and that the work of redevelopment of Udaipur station is going on at a fast pace. “Its design is unique, and the roof plaza being built here will be one of the largest in the country,” he said.
Regarding plans to tun more trains on the Udaipur-Ahmedabad track, Vaishnaw said this new track has become stable and more trains would be introduced gradually. The work of fencing this track will start soon.
