CII holds roadshow for Excon 2017
Vadodara: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on Wednesday organised a roadshow in the city ahead of Excon 2017 – the ninth edition of South Asia’s largest construction equipment and technology fair that will be held at Bengaluru.
Spread across 2.50 lakh square metres area, Excon 2017 – will take place from December 12 and December 16 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre.
“We are expecting over 1,000 exhibitors including 300 companies from abroad to take part in this mega business event,” said Anand Sundaresan, member of Excon 2017 steering committee, adding that the mega event is set to put India’s construction equipment industry, which is expected to grow from US $ 3 billion in 2016 to US $ 5 billion by 2020, on the global map.
“With over 1,000 Indian and overseas exhibitors coming under one roof, the five day international exhibition has witnessed a 26 % growth in terms of number of exhibitors compared with the 2015 exhibition,” he said, adding that there will be country pavilions including leading economies like Germany, Italy, China, South Korea and United Kingdom.
Karnataka government is the host state for the exhibition in which the Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association is the sector partner and is supported by the Builders Association of India.
