NEW DELHI: Heartbroken over not getting the promised six golgappas for Rs 20, a woman staged a dharna in the middle of a road in Vadodara.
The teary-eyed woman created a flutter and briefly disrupted traffic before police reached the spot and persuaded her to return home.
The videos of the incident were shared widely on social media platforms.
In one such videos, the woman, sobbing uncontrollably, can be seen telling onlookers that she went to savour her favourite snack golgappas at a famous joint in the city.
Outraged, she staged a sit-in protest, lowering herself into the middle of the road and refusing to budge until her demand for “two more puris” was met.
The demonstration took place near the city’s busy Surasagar area.
The woman was heard demanding “justice” from the street vendor, accusing him of cheating her.
