Varanasi: Police arrested a youth and his mother in Ballia district on Thursday in connection with alleged rape and abortion of a minor girl with C-section. They were booked under Sections 376 (rape), 313 (causing miscarriage without woman's consent), 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC and POCSO Act. Both the teenage girl and the accused youth are residents of Revati police station area in Ballia district. The girl lives alone in the house as her mother died and father lives in Bihar to earn livelihood.
On Wednesday, the girl’s father lodged a complaint alleging that the youth raped and impregnated his daughter.
Acting on the complaint, Bairia SDM Atreya Mishra and Bairia outpost in-charge Atul Kumar Mishra raided the hospital.
