GORAKHPUR: Chief minister Yogi Adityanth, on Thursday, transferred Rs 10,38,57,977 in the account of 41,293 flood-affected farmers of

Gorakhpur district

from state disaster response fund. He also talked to two farmers through video conferencing from Lucknow, said ADM FR Rajesh Kumar Singh said.

CM Yogi

also interacted with Paramhans (59) of

Sadar Tehsil

and Kunti Devi of Bansgaon tehsil who told the CM that they got the government help timely.

While talking to TOI, Paramhans said, “CM Yogi asked me that about the loss of crop due to floods. I thanked him for construction of Tarkulani regulator as it will benefit a large number of farmers. The CM said that the undergoing construction work at the regulator will be completed soon.”

“I also told the CM that I received relief packets during the flood and also Rs 9,585 credited in my account,” he said.

Yogi also talked to 67-year-old farmer Kunti Devi of Rawat village. She was very happy on recieving Rs 6,750 in her account, “CM Yogi asked me about my loss of crop during the flood. I thanked him for the help,” said Kunti Devi.
