GORAKHPUR: A video of a govt school in Kushinagar went viral recently, showing students loading ration bags on a truck trailer.

Basic shiksha adhikari (BSA) has ordered an inquiry into the video, reportedly of Langdi Composite School in Motichak block.

In the clip, five students, dressed in school uniforms and aged around 12-13, are seen loading heavy rice sacks on a trailer. It is alleged that the ration, meant for the school’s mid-day meal scheme, was being transported from a govt ration shop on the instruction of headmaster and the shopkeeper.

BSA Ram Jiyavan Maurya said, “A block education officer (BEO) has been assigned to probe the matter. Forcing children to do such work is unacceptable and action will be taken.”
