3 killed in separate road accidents in Tirupati, Chittoor districts
Vijayawada: Three people died in two separate road accidents that took place in Tirupati and Chittoor districts on Monday.In the first incident, two people were killed after their motorbike hit a tree near Krishnapuram village in Nagalapuram mandal of Tirupati district. The deceased were identified as Nagaraju (23), a resident of Nindra SC Colony, and Sanjay (23) from Ramagiri village of Pichatur mandal. Both were employed at a private company in Puduvai, Tamil Nadu. According to the police, the duo attended a wedding at Nagalapuram on Sunday night and were returning home on their two-wheeler that night.
Due to overspeeding, the rider lost control of the motorbike near Krishnapuram, causing it to crash into a tree along the road. Both the rider and the pillion sustained fatal injuries, leading to instantaneous death on the spot. The bodies were shifted to the government hospital in Satyavedu for post-mortem examination. A case was registered, and an investigation is underway.In the second incident, a 30-year-old man was killed on the national highway near the welfare boys' hostel at Karvetinagaram. The deceased, identified as Shankar Reddy, a resident of Kasa Thota Street, was travelling from Puttur to his native place on a motorcycle when a van from the opposite direction collided with his vehicle. Shankar Reddy died on the spot due to severe injuries. A case was registered at the Karvetinagaram police station, and an investigation is ongoing.
