Cold response to ECET counselling

Vijayawada: The first phase of online counselling of APECET received poor response from the candidates. Out of the 40,331 seats available under the convener quota, only 18,178 seats were filled. C Naga Rani, convenor of the CET, said that 33,657 candidates qualified in APECET exams and 20,828 qualified candidates applied for the first counselling held from September 6 to 16. Authorities said that 182 sports category seats were not released as they didn’t receive merit list from SAAP. The schedule for the second counselling will be declared soon. TNN
