Development works worth Rs 3.5 crore launched in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: GVMC mayor Peela Srinivasa Rao said that the NDA govt in Andhra Pradesh is working with the objective of the state's development. The mayor, along with Vizag South MLA Vamsi Krishan Srinivas, laid foundation stones and inaugurated several development works valued at about 3.6 crore.Speaking on this occasion, Rao said that several development programmes are being undertaken across all wards in Vizag city to further advance the city infrastructure. The works that were launched include the construction and repair of roads, drainage systems, community buildings, borewells, park restorations, compound walls, arches, and other such works in localities such as Gollalapalem, Chakali Gedda, Gangula Gedda, Bhupesh Nagar, Nayudamma function hall road, Allipuram SC colony road, Bowdara road, Kobbari Thota, Mantha Vari Veedhi, Rangireeju Street, Sunnapu Veedhi Panja Junction, Kanaka Mahalakshmi Temple Gosala Hospital, Kotha Agraharam, Kotha Jalaripeta, Golla Veedhi, among others.The mayor instructed GVMC engineering officials to commence work immediately on the projects for which foundation stones were laid..He alsoasked them to ensure that contractors complete the work with quality and within the stipulated timeframe.Later, the South MLA Vamsi Srinivas said that efforts are underway to identify and develop the necessary basic infrastructure in every ward of the South constituency. He extended his gratitude to the mayor for sanctioning and launching numerous development initiatives aimed at the holistic improvement of all wards.GVMC Jana Sena party floor leader B Vasantha Lakshmi, ward corporators of the constituency, NDA leaders and workers, and others participated in the programme.
