Drunken brawl claims man’s life

Vijayawada: A 32-year-old man, identified as Shaik Rafi, was attacked with knives by his friends following a drunken brawl on Wednesday night. The incident was reported from Tadigadapa under Penamaluru mandal in Krishna district. Police said a complaint was lodged by Shaik Karimullah (63) stating that his son Rafi (33), was returning home on Wednesday night when his friends Shabu and Sohel took him to a bar in Yanamalakuduru. A quarrel broke out between Rafi’s other friends Nadakuditi Nagaraju, Yella Reddy, Anil, and Don Basha who were already there. As Rafi tried to control them, they attacked Rafi with a knife and escaped from the place. Rafi died at the GGH. The accused are said to be absconding. TNN
