Hyderabad: A special CBI court hearing the trial in the murder case of former MP YS Vivekananda Reddy adjourned proceedings to March 16 after reviewing a supplementary chargesheet on Tuesday.
Five accused, Thumallapalli Gangi Reddy (alias Yerra Gangi Reddy), Yadati Sunil Yadav, Gajjala Uma Sankar Reddy, D Siva Shankar Reddy, and Gajjala Uday Kumar Reddy, appeared before court. The court granted an exemption from personal appearance to YS Bhaskar Reddy and YS Avinash Reddy for Tuesday's hearing upon a petition.
The court directed that copies be furnished to all accused and victims' counsel. The accused's counsel sought time to verify the supplementary chargesheet along with investigation reports and case records.
CBI assured the court of no further technical errors in the files and furnished interrogation reports of Arjun Reddy and Kiran Yadav, conducted following Supreme Court orders. The counsel for the accused were granted time until Friday or Saturday to complete verification and file a compliance report under Sec 207 CrPC.
The court adjourned the case for further hearing to March 16.
