Karur Vysya Bank donates Rs 50 lakh to Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam

:Karur Vysya Bank
, a private bank, said on Thursday it has donated Rs 50 lakh to the Sri Balaji Arogya Vara Prasadini Scheme of Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences of the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD)."Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, besides offering treatment to the underprivileged, also imparts education in medical sciences and facilitates research and development in the field of medicine. For the purpose of R & D activities, Sri Balaji Arogya Vara Prasadini Scheme seeks to accomplish the goal of making available cutting- edge medical technology to every individual at an affordable rate. Karur Vysya Bank has donated under the scheme to accomplish the twin CSR objectives of supporting areas of medicine and education," a Karur Vysya Bank press release said.
The demand draft for the amount was handed over by M K Venkatesan, N S Srinath, M V Srinivasa Moorthi and R Ramkumar, directors of the bank, to K S Srinivasa Raju, joint executive officer, TTD. Dr. Ravikumar, director, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, was also present, the release added.
