VIJAYAWADA: The leader of the opposition in the legislative council and senior YSRCP leader Botcha Satyanarayana has fallen ill.
He reportedly suffered a brain stroke in the early hours of Friday, following which his family members immediately shifted him to Hyderabad. He is currently undergoing emergency treatment at City Neuro Centre in Hyderabad.
According to sources, a team of specialist doctors is closely monitoring his condition. Several medical tests have been conducted, and he is being provided with advanced medical care. Doctors confirmed that the condition of the veteran politician is stable and out of danger. He is likely to be discharged in a couple of days.
Botcha Satyanarayana has been leading the YSRCP team in its ferocious battle against the ruling NDA in the Upper House since the assembly budget session commenced last fortnight. The former minister Botcha Satyanarayana had previously faced heart-related health issues.
In late 2023, he underwent open-heart surgery in Hyderabad. After recovering from the surgery, he resumed active participation in politics. However, news of his recent brain stroke has caused deep concern among party cadres and his supporters.
