TDP’S ‘noise’ protest over Naidu’s arrest

Vijayawada: TDP on Friday announced a protest programme which is akin to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to thank doctors and frontline warriors by making sound with plates and ringing bells during the Covind lockdown.TDP gave a similar call to the people of AP to express their solidarity with former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu who was arrested by Crime Investigation Department (CID) in the alleged skill development scam case and is presently in Rajahmundry Central Jail under judicial custody.The protest programme has been named as ‘Motha Mogiddam’ (will make noise) and it is scheduled to take place on Saturday from 7 pm to 7.05 pm for five minutes. TDP appealed to people to stay wherever they are and make noise by ringing bells, slamming plates, blowing whistles, and honking their vehicles if driving. TDP asked people to share the videos on social media with the hash tag ‘Motha Mogiddam’.TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh announced the programme on X and the hashtag has already gone viral. Lokesh appealed to people to make noise in such a way that those who illegally arrested Naidu hear the anger of public.Lokesh’s wife, Nara Brahmani, also appealed to people to participate in huge numbers from their homes and offices. She said democracy would be in danger if illegal acts of rulers were not questioned.

N Chandrababu Naidu's son Nara Lokesh named accused in inner ring road scam

The Crime Investigation Department (CID) in Andhra Pradesh has filed a memo naming Nara Lokesh, the son of former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, as an accused in an alleged scam. Naidu and former minister P Narayana have also been named as main accused. The CID alleges that Lokesh was a major shareholder in Heritage Foods Ltd and purchased land for the Inner Ring Road project. Lokesh has denied the allegations, claiming they are politically motivated.

Skill development case: TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu's judicial remand extended till October 5

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu's judicial remand has been extended until October 5. Naidu was arrested in an alleged skill development scam case on September 9 and has been in police custody. The Crime Investigation Department (CID) has not established any link between Naidu and the money trail yet. The CID is focusing on the Income Tax notices given to Naidu regarding undisclosed income from contractors. The ACB court will hear Naidu's bail application on Monday.

ACB court extends judicial remand of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu till October 5

Former Chief Minister and TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu's judicial remand has been extended until October 5 by the ACB court. Naidu was arrested by the CID in relation to an alleged skill development scam. The CID did not ask for an extension of police custody and the court granted judicial remand. Naidu faced questioning for 12 hours over two days, but so far, the CID has not established any link between Naidu and the alleged money trail.
