VIJAYAWADA: Transformation of school education including a digital classroom will be the theme of Andhra Pradesh's tableau at Republic Day this year.
The state government has readied designs and the Centre cleared them. Senior officials of information and public relations department along with those of education department are now busy giving finishing touches to the tableau to be paraded on January 26 in New Delhi.
The state government's presentation to the high-level committee appointed by the Centre to look into various projects proposed by different states, has received an instantaneous response and approval.
"The government of Andhra Pradesh strongly believes that education is an asset that we can inherit to children and all the expenditure spent on education will be an investment towards future development of the state," said the state government in its presentation.
Digital learning enhanced students' skills
Government further noted: "It is believed that the digital transformation of the education ecosystem is much needed for the learners which will not only improve the skills of children but will also help to boost the economy of the country".
It said it has brought revolutionary reforms and innovative schemes in the education sector and is moving ahead with the goal of making students global citizens by upgrading government schools to compete with corporate schools. "Our government has been providing quality education to the students by improving infrastructure in government schools," said a senior official.
Students from government schools were provided with Vidhya Kaanuka kit consisting of nine types of items including free bilingual text books. It is very unfortunate that, ill educated and semi educated persons like CBN and Pawan Kumar have sorrowfully found fault with our School Education System. As an internationally well reputed educationalist, I affirm that one must easily feel proud of our school education system in AP. My ecstatic and erudite disciples made an empirical study of the system by going about quite a few primary schools and have come out with the solid conclusions. According to them, the Vidya Kanuka kit provided to children has brought about marked changes in the learning of the pupils. Recently the Head Master of a school said that the children in his school (Jayapuram village, Kuderu Mandal, Anantapur District) have learnt effortlessly about 250 words within 6 months period Moreover AP Government rightly feels that education is an asset that can bring marked results that would have tremendous results on our economy. The mid day meals scheme which has one laurels at the International level as thoroughly tasty food of nutrition is provided to our peoples. In fact, I once visited the school and observed carefully the dining room of the children and easily envied them as I do not eat daily such type of nutritious food. The schools are very well provided with all amenities like toilet and potable water. Recently a few established educationalist from the USA visited some schools in Eluri and meticulously inspected the running of the school which drew their attention amazingly. Besides the following the National Education Policy the AP Government has been providing all major facilities like Ammavadi, Vidyakanuka etc which take care of a child till he gets a decent job after having earned a fertile degree. To put it in a nutshell almost digitalization has taken place in most of our Government schools which are being emulated by even private schools in AP. The swing now is from private convents to Government schools. Unfortunately, the parents are indulging corrupt practices as the money deposited towards Ammavadi is being used for their petty jewellery ear rings etc. So, I appeal to the participants in Indian democracy to lend a helping hand in making our School Education system a tremendous success. Hope other State Governments in our country would soon emulate the AP system and mold their students in giving knowledge based education. What comments do you make on the free tabs distributed by the AP top leader to our students? I entreat the intellectuals to offer their judicious impartial objective and realistic comment on my analysis. Looking forward hearing from the AP voters.Read allPost comment
