17, including 5 women, arrested from rave party in Andhra Pradesh's East Godavari district

RAJAHMUNDRY: East Godavari police busted a rave party and arrested 17 persons, including five women, in the early hours of Monday. The incident took place in Burugupudi village under Korukonda mandal in East Godavari district.

The police booked a case under the Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act.

According to Korukonda Inspector, Satya Kishore, the police, along with special party police, raided Naga Sai function hall where the party was taking place.

Dealers from fertiliser companies from different parts of the state gathered for the party in Burugupudi. One local sales executive arranged five women from Kakinada, Rajahmundry, and Rampa Chodavaram for the party.

On a tip-off, the police raided the place and arrested 17 persons, including five women. The police also seized liquor bottles from the place. The arrested men will be produced before the court, and the five women who were arrested will be sent to a home.
