In the video, Parthasarathy, alleged that he had to spend Rs 15 lakh to get nominated to the chairmanship of the temple trust board.
The video came to light on Friday, a day after Parthasarathy allegedly ended his life.
It may be recalled that Parthasarathy, who is also a YSRC functionary, committed suicide by jumping before a moving train near Kuppam, on Thursday. His family members alleged that Parthasarathy was extremely unhappy about being removed from the chairmanship of the local temple trust.
In the selfie video, Parthasarathy, alleged that he had spent Rs 15 lakh for the post.
Ex-chair names persons responsible for his death"Not a single Jatara (folk festival) could be performed during my two years stint as the chairman because of the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak. I requested Senthil Anna (RESCO chairman) but he bluntly rejected claiming that Peddayana (a senior leader of the party) will not agree. I was stripped of the chairmanship despite my repeated pleas to allow me to lead at least one folk festival," Parthasarathy said in the selfie video in which he named a few people as responsible for his death.
Meanwhile, Parthasarathy's brother Karthik alleged that Senthil was responsible for the suicide.
When contacted, Senthil Kumar told TOI that he was no way responsible for Parthasarathy's suicide. "In fact I tried my best to convince the senior minister of the district to extend Parthasarathy's tenure as Tirupati Gangamamba temple's chairman but he refused", Senthil Kumar said.
