Andhra Pradesh: Several train services affected due to landslide in KK line
VISAKHAPATNAM: The restoration works are being carried out on war footing at the site, where the landslide occurred between Manabar- Janata stations in the Kottavalasa-Kirandul (KKline) line of Waltair Division.
Several train services were affected.
It is recalled that huge boulders fell on the tracks, disrupting the train movement on the line in the early hours of Sunday. A team of senior officials from the Waltair Division led by Divisional Railway Manager Saurabh Prasad reached the site and deployed heavy-duty machinery and materials and engaged workers in large numbers to speed up the restoration works.
Despite inclement weather, the restoration works are on a war footing, to avoid inconvenience to the people, several trains in this line were short-terminated.
The trains which got affected are: Train No.18107 Rourkela-Jagdalpur express leaving Rourkela short terminated and started from Koraput as 18108 to Rourkela, hence there is no service between Koraput – and Jagdalpur on Monday. Train No. 18447 Bhubaneswar-Jagdalpur Hirakhand Express leaving Bhubaneswar short-terminated and starts from Koraput to Bhubaneswar on Monday. Train No. 18514 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Night Express was short-terminated at Koraput and returned from Koraput as 18513 to Visakhapatnam on Monday. Train No. 08551 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul passenger leaving Visakhapatnam on Monday short terminated at Araku and returned from Araku as 08552 to Visakhapatnam on Monday. The train No. 18005 Howrah-Jagdalpur Samaleswari express leaving Howrah on 25.09.2023 will be short terminated Titlagarh and return from Titlagarh as 18006 to Howrah.

The train No. 18005 Howrah-Jagdalpur Samaleswari express leaving Howrah on 25.09.2023 will be short terminated Titlagarh and return from Titlagarh as 18006 to Howrah.
