Fire breaks out at VPT, none hurt

) premises on Monday evening. No injuries were reported. Port workers suspect that the fire erupted due to a rupture or a short circuit. Five fire tenders rushed to the port, including three from the city fire station. The incident took place at 4.30 pm and the fire department deployed two fire tenders initially and later sent a sky lift. The reason behind the accident is yet to be ascertained. The damage to property will be assessed in a day or two. TNN
