Visakhapatnam: After three months of extensive search, Vizag police arrested a woman sub-inspector and another person in connection with an attempt to murder case.
The police have been on the job to nab the sub-inspector’s sister, Vijayalakshmi, who is a judge in the junior civil judge court, for her alleged involvement in the case.
The arrested sub-inspector was identified as G Nagamani, who is attached to the crime wing of Anandapuram police station. The other person arrested was Appala Reddy, a driver.
The police arrested the duo in Odisha on Saturday. So far, the police arrested 10 people for their alleged involvement in the attack on a real-estate businessman.
The police said that Andhra Pradesh HC has given permission to take further action in accordance with law against Vijayalakshmi.
A notice was served on her as per procedure for her appearance before the investigation officer.
