Pramod Kumar Agrawal, an officer from the 1988 batch of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), was appointed as the principal chief commissioner of the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) for the Bengaluru Zone, a post that had been vacant since August 1. Agrawal has served in senior roles, including positions in Mumbai and Kolkata.

Unseal gaming zone so it can get licence

The Gujarat High Court has directed the Surat Municipal Corporation to unseal Let's Jump Trampoline & Adventure Pvt Ltd for obtaining necessary licenses and permits. The court emphasized that the facility must not operate until the required licenses are procured. Following the May 25 fire incident in Rajkot, a court-imposed ban had prohibited such activities statewide.

Draft notification on green zones open to feedback: CM

The state government planned to circulate the draft notification proposing 108 Goan villages as eco-sensitive areas among panchayats and MLAs for feedback. With 40 days left to submit objections, the chief minister will urge the Union government to limit the designation to 63 villages. A previous draft identified 99 villages, but discrepancies were acknowledged.
