VISAKHAPATNAM: The temple management of Goddess Sri Pyditalli temple requested the Waltair Railway Divisional Manager (DRM) to run special trains for the Pyditalli Jaatara and Sirimanotsavam to be held on October 14 and October 15. The Temple Executive Officer DVV Prasada Rao wrote a letter to the DRM of Waltair Division and requested that devotees from Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and other parts of South India attend the Sirimanotsavam, the annual festival of Goddess Pyditalli.

The EO urged the DRM to stop every rail passing through Vizianagaram at the Vizianagaram station, keeping the importance of the festival in mind. Pyditalli Tollella Parvadinam would be celebrated on October 14 and Sirimanotsavam on October 15. The temple authorities are expecting one lakh devotees more than the previous year, around four lakh devotees.

The EO Prasada Rao said that devotees from Bangalore, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Vijayawada, Rayagada, Bhopal, Chennai, Kolkata, Kakinada, Palasa, and other parts of the state would also participate in the celebrations. He urged the railway authorities to make available special trains for the North Andhra, East, and West Godavari districts.
