Where to check CBSE Class 12 result 2026
Students will be able to access their results through multiple platforms. The official websites include results.cbse.nic.in and cbse.gov.in. Apart from the websites, students can also check their scores using DigiLocker, SMS, and the UMANG app. These options help reduce congestion during peak result hours.
Steps to check result online
To check the result online, students need to visit the official website and open the result link. After entering roll number and school number, the result will appear on the screen. Students are advised to download and print their provisional marksheet for future reference.
Checking result via SMS and IVRS
Students can also check results via SMS by sending the required details in the prescribed format to 7738299899. The board also provides Interactive Voice Response System facility. Students can dial 24300699 with area code to access their results.
DigiLocker marksheet access
Digital marksheets will also be available through DigiLocker. Students can log in using their credentials and access their documents under the Pull Partner Documents section. The digital marksheet will include subject wise marks, grades, and qualifying status.
Passing marks and evaluation
Students must score at least 33 per cent marks in both theory and practical components to pass the examination. The scorecard will display student details, marks, grades, and result status. CBSE will not release a toppers list to avoid unhealthy competition.
Compartment exam schedule
Students who do not clear one or more subjects can appear for compartment exams. These exams are expected to be held in July 2026. The compartment results will likely be announced in the first week of August 2026.
Previous year performance
Last year, 16,92,794 students appeared for the CBSE Class 12 examination with an overall pass percentage of 88.39 per cent. Girls recorded higher pass percentage than boys, continuing the trend observed in previous years.
