Tirupati, Sept 16: The Maharishi Vedic university located at Netherlands will award honorary doctorates to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Chairman YV Subba Reddy and his wife Y Swarnalatha Reddy in October.
In a letter addressed to the TTD Chairman, Dr Jose Luis Alvarez, director of the Maharishi Vedic university at Netherlands, said that the Maharishi worldwide organization which has taken note of the novel initiatives launched by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams under the leadership of YV Subba Reddy as the Chairman, to spearhead the propagation of the Hindu Samathana Dharma and spirituality worldwide, would like to honour him and his wife Swarnalatha Reddy with the honorary doctorates in the month of October.
YV Subba Reddy is credited with the launching of several novel initiatives including the Gudiko Gomatha, Govinduniki Go-Adharitha Naivedyam, revival of the Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams, Kalyanamasthu and several other initiatives of the TTD.
The TTD chairman also played a key role in organising Srinivasa Kalyanam across several cities in the United States of America recently.
