NEW DELHI: Chandigarh Education Department has invited application from retired teachers for filling up vacant posts of JBT, TGT, PGT and Vocational Lecturers.
Interested and eligible candidates, who have worked under Chandigarh Administration on deputation basis for a minimum period of three years from neighbouring states, can apply online through the official website - http://www.chdeducation.gov.in/.
The applicant must be having 10 year experience in the cadre for the post of JBT, TGT and five years in the case of PGT and Vocational Lecturers.
Principal/ Head or any other officer of UT cadre having experience will also be eligible for engagement in the respective cadre.

A fixed monthly amount shall be admissible, arrived at by deducting the basic pension from the pay drawn at the time of retirement. The amount of remuneration so fixed will remain unchanged for the term of the contract. There will be no annual increment/ percentage increase during the contract period.
The maximum age up to which re-engagement on contract basis is admissible is 64 years as on April 1 of the academic year for which panel is to be prepared. Teachers so engaged on contractual basis will not be part of the cadre of teachers of the School Education Department, Chandigarh.
A teacher will be engaged till he/she attains the age of 65 years or until a regular teacher joins, whichever is earlier.
