Tirupati: About 495 schools will get a comprehensive facelift under the state government's Nadu-Nedu second phase programme in Annamayya district. District collector PS Girisha IAS reviewed the progress of the second phase of the Nadu-Nedu programme at the district collectorate at Rayachoti on Friday. The district collector expressed displeasure over the manner in which the expenditure was being booked at a sluggish pace despite the release of the revolving fund. He directed the education department to expedite the second phase works at a brisk pace.

Meanwhile, the district collector who later held a review with the officials of the industries department, said that 1289 applications out of 1340 total number of applications received to establish MSME units, were cleared by the district administration so far.


PS Girisha directed the industries department officials to provide all necessary support to entrepreneurs and aspirants to promote the establishment of new industrial units in the newly formed Annamayya district.
