CBSE issues guidelines for Class 10, 12 Practical Exams 2024; Check Here
CBSE Practical Examinations 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued guidelines for the upcoming Practical Examinations, Internal Assessments, and Project Assessments for the academic session 2023-24, scheduled to commence on January 1, 2024.
Students and parents should verify that their subjects are accurately reflected in the list of candidates submitted by the schools. Students need to be aware of the syllabus and subjects for which practical examinations are scheduled.
Students are reminded to appear for the practical exams according to the provided schedule, as no second chances will be provided by the Board. Students or parents are advised to contact their respective schools for clarification if they encounter any issues or have queries.
Schools should complete the syllabus for Practical Examinations on time. Additionally, they must make necessary arrangements, including preparing and stocking laboratories and identifying Internal Examiners well in advance.
It is the responsibility of schools to inform all students and parents about the date sheet for Practical Examinations. Schools must cross-verify the List of Candidates (LOC) appearing for the practical exams from the online system to ensure accuracy in subjects and student categories (regular/compartment/improvement).
To avoid any last-minute issues, schools should confirm the receipt of a sufficient number of Practical answer books before the actual conduct of practical examinations. The marks awarded in practical exams must align with the correct maximum marks, following the circular of mark bifurcation.
Regional Offices are responsible for promptly sharing the guidelines for conducting Practical Examinations with schools upon release by the CBSE. They must ensure that Practical Examinations are completed within the notified schedule, and marks are uploaded on time.
External examiners should be appointed in all schools before the commencement of Practical examinations, wherever applicable. Regional Offices are also tasked with ensuring the timely delivery of Practical Answer Books to schools before the commencement of Practical Examinations.
All stakeholders, including schools, students, parents, and Regional Offices, are urged to adhere to these guidelines to ensure the smooth and timely conduct of Practical Examinations for the academic session 2023-24.
