CBSE News Live: From answer sheets to alleged data leaks, how the issue escalated
The OSM controversy has expanded significantly since results were announced. Early complaints focused on answer-sheet access, with students reporting blurred scans, incomplete copies and difficulties retrieving evaluated scripts. Attention then shifted towards the evaluation process itself, as questions emerged regarding digital assessment practices. Subsequently, cybersecurity activists and ethical hackers publicly alleged vulnerabilities linked to CBSE-connected systems. Claims ranged from exposure of scanned answer books to possible access to digital storage containing examination-related material. These allegations prompted responses from the Board, which said vulnerabilities had been identified and contained. The involvement of technology experts from IITs and government agencies further highlighted the seriousness of the concerns. Even as investigations and reviews continue, students remain focused on accessing pending post-result services and obtaining clarity regarding the re-evaluation process.
