GATE 2026 will be conducted across multiple days between February 7, 2026 and February 15, 2026, in two sessions each day. The admit card is a mandatory document for appearing in the examination and contains essential information related to the test and the candidate. Candidates are advised to download and review the hall ticket as soon as it is released.
How to access the GATE admit card 2026
The GATE 2026 admit card will be hosted on the official portal managed by IIT Guwahati. Candidates can download the document by logging in with their registered credentials. A printed copy of the admit card must be carried to the examination centre for verification.
The hall ticket will display details including the candidate’s name, registration number, selected paper code, examination centre address, date and time of the test, along with the candidate’s photograph and signature. Exam-day instructions will also be printed on the admit card.
Key details to verify after download
Candidates must carefully verify all information printed on the admit card. The spelling of the candidate’s name and parents’ names should be accurate. The selected paper or paper combinations mentioned on the hall ticket must match the choices made during the application process.
The photograph and signature printed on the admit card should be clear and identical to those uploaded during registration. Candidates whose photograph does not match or is unclear may not be permitted to appear for the examination. It is also important to confirm the examination centre address, reporting time and session.
Action in case of discrepancies
If any discrepancy is noticed, candidates should immediately contact the GATE administering authority, IIT Guwahati, to have the issue rectified before the examination.
