HPBOSE to conduct Special Educator TET exams on June 7: Check complete details here
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala, has announced that the Special Educator Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) examinations under the TET June 2026 session will be held on June 7. The examinations are being conducted for candidates aspiring to teach children with special needs at different school levels.
Sharing the details, HPBOSE Chairman Dr. Rajesh Sharma said that two separate examinations will be conducted on the same day. The Special Educator TET (Pre-Primary to Class V) examination will take place in the morning session, while the Special Educator TET (Class VI to Class XII) examination will be held in the afternoon.
According to the board, the Special Educator TET (Pre-Primary to Class V) examination will be conducted from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. A total of 407 candidates are expected to appear for the examination at three designated examination centres across the state.
The test is aimed at assessing the eligibility of aspiring teachers who wish to work with children requiring special educational support at the primary level.
The second examination, Special Educator TET (Class VI to Class XII), will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The board has reported that 128 candidates will appear for this paper at the same three examination centres.
This examination is intended for candidates seeking teaching roles in upper primary, secondary and senior secondary classes within the special education framework.
HPBOSE has fixed the duration of both examinations at two hours and thirty minutes. The board has advised candidates to carefully follow all examination guidelines and ensure they arrive at their centres well before the reporting time. Officials believe timely arrival will help avoid last-minute issues related to verification and entry procedures.
The board has already uploaded the admit cards on its official website. Candidates can download their hall tickets by entering their Application Number and Date of Birth.
The admit card is a mandatory document for entry into the examination hall and must be checked carefully for details such as examination centre, timing and candidate information.
HPBOSE has urged all candidates to bring a valid photo identification document along with their admit card on the examination day. Entry may be denied if the required documents are not produced during verification.
For any examination-related queries, candidates can contact the board office through its helpline number, 01892-242192.
With the examination date now approaching, the board has advised candidates to complete their preparations and strictly follow the instructions issued for a smooth and fair conduct of the test.
